A Message from Tim

I feel very fortunate to be joining the Halftime Institute team for several reasons.  First of all, I’ve been a friend of Halftime for nearly a decade and I feel like this is the most exciting time in the life of the organization.  The value of Halftime coaching and the power of the Fellows and Members models has been clearly demonstrated by the impact Halftime Institute alumni are having around the world.  Now it’s time to focus on identifying, inspiring, and equipping the next 1,000 world changers through Halftime!

Secondly, it’s not only a pleasure but a real honor to be involved in extending the legacy of Bob Buford.  Bob’s vision and passion for transforming the latent energy in thousands of Christians who are marketplace leaders into active energy leveraged for Kingdom impact has inspired not only the Halftime team and alumni, but thousands of Christians who have taken seriously the challenge to move from success to significance.

Finally, it’s a joy to be part of this great team.  Dean and the Board have gathered a fantastic group of people to build this organization and after just a few short weeks, I feel challenged, engaged, and connected.  It really is fun and rewarding to know as you head into the office each morning you’re going to be working with people who share your worldview and passion for ministry and who are just a pleasure to be around.

I’m looking forward to my dual role as Chief Philanthropy Officer.  I’ll be focusing on enhancing and articulating our value proposition to help build a community of investors who believe in and support the Halftime Institute’s vision and mission and who engage their financial capacity to help us grow in depth and breadth.  In addition, I’ll be helping Halftime Fellows and Members discover God’s plan for their own individual and family philanthropic mission and invest their resources in the things Jesus cares about.
