Barbara Foulkrod has been actively involved in the Halftime Family since 2014. Halftime intersected with Barbara and her husband, Allin, at just the right time: Allin was preparing to sell his business and Barbara was preparing to launch their children into college and beyond.
Together on their halftime journey, Barbara and Allin uncovered each other’s dreams and passions and began embracing the next season God was leading them into. Today, Barbara is the Vice President at Hope Reins, a nonprofit based in North Carolina, bringing hope and healing to kids in crisis through time spent with rescued horses.
Recently, Jennifer Bleakley, a Hope Reins volunteer and aspiring author, wrote a heartwarming true story about Joey, a blind Appaloosa that lived at Hope Reins and inspired everyone who knew him. The best-selling book shares the empowering story of the mission of Hope Reins and Joey and his courageous journey from darkness to light.
