One of the big myths of halftime is that you have to ditch everything you have ever worked on and make a huge and radical change.

Yes, some people do that. But many more do not. My worry is that the notion of a daunting seismic shift might cause you to avoid exploring halftime altogether, and that would be tragic, in my opinion.

The truth is, everybody’s halftime story and journey is going to be different.

By the time you get into halftime, your attitude toward your job may range from “I love my job so much I’d do it even if they didn’t pay me” to “I can’t stand what I do no matter how much money I make.”…more
