BOB BUFORD, Founder
Bob Buford is chairman of the board of The Buford Foundation/OneHundredX and, until the sale of his company in July 1999, served as chairman of the board and CEO of Buford Television, Inc., a family-owned business that started with a single ABC affiliate in Tyler, Texas, in the early fifties, and grew to a network of cable systems across the country. A classic entrepreneur, Bob has authored five books—Halftime, Game Plan, Stuck in Halftime (Zondervan), Finishing Well (Integrity,), and Drucker and Me. Bob was the founder and initial chairman of the board of the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management, now Leader to Leader Institute. He and his wife Linda make their home in Dallas, Texas.

JAY BENNETT, Chairman of the Board
Jay Bennett has been married to his wife, Sally, for 43 years and has three grown sons, three daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren. Professionally, Jay has led a “parallel career” of practicing law and engaging in a wide variety of business transactions in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis), domestically and internationally for the past 35 years while also leading a Christian foundation serving Christian ministries for 26 years.
To integrate his passions to see the Lord’s resources flow generously into high impact ministries, Jay founded National Christian Foundation Twin Cities in 2000, a Christian Community Foundation and NCF affiliate. He serves on numerous for-profit and non-profit boards including service as Chairman of the National Christian Foundation as well as Chairman of the Halftime Institute.
CEO, PATTON HOLDINGS
A resident of Ann Arbor since 1983. Tim has been married for over 30 years to his wife Shann and is the father of their six children. He is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
From 1981-1988 Tim held progressively higher management positions at McGaw Labs, the intravenous products division of American Hospital Supply, ultimately acquired by Baxter. From 1989 to 2003, Tim co-founded Health Care Solutions and grew this provider of home based respiratory and intravenous therapies serving over 40,000 patients concurrently in seven states through 47 offices with 750 employees before the sale of the company to Lincare (LNCR-OTC). Tim has since initiated the successful start-up of four companies, primarily in the health care services field. He is presently the Chairman and principal shareholder of Patton Holdings, a diversified holding company with controlling interests in Jordan Reses Supply Company, a distributor of respiratory products into the Veterans Administration and U.S. Military Hospitals, Flagship Private Air, which provides private charter flights and Patton Real Estate Holdings, a developer and an investor in residential and commercial properties in Michigan, Colorado, Florida and Illinois. In 2012 Tim divested his interest in Sleep Well Centers, an operator of outpatient sleep apnea diagnostic laboratories which he founded in 2003.
Tim and his wife, Shann, are active in the Ann Arbor community where Shann is the Executive Director of Arbor Vitae Woman’s Center; which is a limited medical clinic providing ultrasound imaging, pregnancy testing, counseling and social services coordination in support of women with unplanned pregnancies who choose life.
Tim chairs the board of Holy Cross Children’s Services serving disadvantaged youth with boarding schools, foster care and vocational training. Tim also serves on the Boards of Arbor Vitae (referenced above), Renewal Ministries-an international organization evangelizing Christianity throughout the world, and Biovigil ,a firm providing infrared sensing systems to maximize hand washing compliance resulting in minimization of hospital acquired infections. He is also a founder and board member chairing the executive and compensation committees for the Ann Arbor State Bank. Finally, Tim founded the Ann Arbor Chapter of Legatus International, an organization of Catholic business leaders.
Tim enjoys boating both in Michigan and Florida and also participates in an occasional game of high handicap golf.
KEN BLANCHARD COMPANIES
Dr. Marjorie Blanchard, known as “Margie,” has earned a reputation worldwide as a compelling motivational speaker, an accomplished management consultant and trainer, a best-selling author, and an entrepreneur.
In 1983 she was chosen Speaker of the Year by New Woman Magazine and American Express. Margie was the co-recipient, along with her husband, Dr. Ken Blanchard, of the 1991 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Cornell University. She is co-author of The One Minute Manager Gets Fit and Working Well: Managing for Health and High Performance. Margie is well-versed on a variety of topics and often speaks on leadership, empowerment, team building, customer service, managing change, and life planning.
As cofounder of The Ken Blanchard Companies, Margie works with her husband to develop their organization into one of the premier management consulting and training companies in the world. She heads up the Office of the Future, the research and development arena of The Ken Blanchard Companies.
Margie received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Cornell University and her doctorate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
DALE DAWSON, Bridge2Rwanda
Dale Dawson is an investment banker, entrepreneur and CPA. He is founder & CEO of Bridge2Rwanda and serves on Rwanda President Paul Kagame’s Presidential Advisory Council. Since 2002, Dale has helped launch and grow a number of businesses and social enterprises in Rwanda. He also serves on the boards of Halftime Institute and Edify and the investment committee of Diamond State Ventures.
During his first half, Dale served as Executive Vice President & Head of Investment Banking at Stephens Inc.; Partner and National Director at KPMG; and Chairman & CEO of TruckPro, an independent distributor of commercial truck parts that he sold to AutoZone. He and his wife, Judi, are University of Texas graduates and live in Little Rock, Arkansas. They have two grown children – Katherine and Jack.
MISSION OF HOPE HAITI
John Leffin, MISSION OF HOPE HAITI
During his 21 year consulting career with Accenture, John Leffin held a number of global and U.S. leadership positions in the change management and human performance practices. He was also the lead partner on a number of large multi-billion dollar global accounts. John was a founding member of the Accenture Leadership Center in the School of Business at the University of Wisconsin where he serves on the Governance Committee. John also serves as a lead facilitator each year at the 6-day LeaderShape Institute.
John serves on the board of Mission of Hope, Haiti where his work includes strategic planning and partnership development. He and his family are actively engaged together in Haiti, working on everything from major building projects to leading mission trips for young adults and business leaders.
John and Loretta are residents of Naples, Florida. They have two daughters, Krista and Melissa.
RANDY LINVILLE, CLEARSIGHT VENTURES
Randal Linville has over 35 years of experience and success as a commodity market trader, international business executive and corporate board leader. He brings expertise and a myriad of connections in the following sectors: agriculture, capital markets, commodity, government, infrastructure, nonprofit, private equity, professional, transport, and vocational stewardship.
Today, Randal is Managing Director of ClearSight Ventures. He serves as advisor, board member, entrepreneur, executive, and investor for a top portfolio of marketplace and nonprofit groups summarized below:

- In the Agriculture market, Randal is best known for a successful 25-year career at The Scoular Company during which he earned positions of increasing leadership and management responsibility. As President, and CEO from 1999-2009, Randal led Scoular through a decade of extraordinary growth building a diverse portfolio of Agriculture supply chain operations based in North America with International reach.

While growing up on a farm in Holcomb, KS, Randal developed a passion for both agriculture and business that led him to Kansas State University where he earned dual degrees in Agricultural Economics and Business Finance in 1976, followed by an M.S. in Agricultural Economics in 1977. Upon graduation, he began his career with Central Soya Company and later joined The Pillsbury Company. Randal resides in Leawood, KS with his wife Debbie and young adult children Grace and Jake. Their special interests include Exclusive Resorts family travel in USA and abroad, and Pilate’s fitness training.
EXECUTIVES IN ACTION
ASHLEE KLEINERT, Executives in Action
Ashlee is an entrepreneur in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. She founded Ruthie’s Rolling Cafés, four food trucks serving the most delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches on wheels and with the most recent addition of a delicious Mac-N-Cheese Menu. Ruthie’s Food Trucks business has a philanthropic program named “Ruthie’s Dozen.” Each calendar month of the year, a different nonprofit organization is highlighted and promoted utilizing Ruthie’s social media and public events to share and educate the community about the mission and important work of that organization. It is a food truck with a purpose!
Ashlee and her husband Chris co-founded Executives in Action, a nonprofit organization that leverages the talent and expertise of executive level professionals in a period of transition between jobs with nonprofit organizations needing help with a specific project related to the skills of the professional. The executives engage in short-term, high-impact projects to enhance productivity and the overall impact of the nonprofits needing their help. Executives In Action pays honorariums to the executives upon completion of the projects and there is no fee to the organization receiving the help.
Currently, Ashlee serves as Chair of the Dallas Women’s Foundation Board of Directors. She also serves on governing and advisory boards at Methodist Hospital Foundation, Genesis Women’s Shelter, The Senior Source, New Friends New Life, St. Philips School and Community Center, and SMU Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility.
Ashlee graduated from SMU where she met her husband Chris. They have three adult children.
