This episode is part of our special webinar series on Using Your Platform For Good In Crisis.

During a health pandemic in Rome — when it was unprecedented to care for people outside of your own family — the early Christians combined their creativity with compassion. The Church grew exponentially as people saw real love in action and it was compelling. They brought hope and kindness in the face of fear and despair.

Today, Halftimers all over the world are responding with the same blend of creativity and compassion. Perhaps our greatest impact in our second half will be during these days of crisis.

We believe that Halftimers are particularly well prepared to make their biggest contribution in the face of a global crisis. Here are three reasons why:

  1. They have already been working on defining their calling.
  2. They have been working on creating capacity, so they are available to serve when opportunities arise.
  3. Their hearts are focused outward, not inward.

What difference will you make during these unique circumstances?

Your mission is made up of three things: your strengths, your passions, and the difference you want to make in the world.

Lloyd Reeb and Doug Piper recently hosted a conversation with Halftime Alumni Bob Doll, Senior Portfolio Manager and Chief Equity Strategist at Nuveen, and Paul McGinnis, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at VOMO to help equip leaders in Halftime to use their platform for good.

It is our hope that the insight shared will be a relevant resource for you in light of the current circumstances.

During our time together, we discussed fruitful questions that might help you brainstorm other ways you can honor God and bring comfort using your platforms, influence, and resources.

Listen and learn how to be bold and effective in your ministry during a time when many are open to pause, reflect on, and discuss the tough questions in life.

“These days of our leadership are equipping us for heaven, this is not a dry run. This is not a dress rehearsal anymore.”

"I first read Bob Buford's book several years ago, but my Halftime really began when my youngest left for college. I knew then I didn't just want another job, but wanted to give back to God by making a significant impact for His kingdom.”
